About the Instructor

Vasthi Cheddar, NCIDQ, RID

After working in the interior design industry for over 20 years—juggling projects, deadlines, and life— I finally decided to take the leap and get NCIDQ certified. Like many working professionals, I had limited time, so I gave myself time to prepare. It was intense, but in 2020, I passed all three exams in a span of five weeks and on the first try. Still, even after being certified I couldn’t help thinking: Why is this process so unclear and overwhelming? That question, and a contact from another fellow designer seeking help with the process led me to create IDQSimplified—a resource built specifically for busy designers who need focused, practical, no-fluff guidance to pass the NCIDQ. I’ve been where you are, and my goal is to make the journey easier for you.  It’s my way of giving back to a profession I love and supporting the next generation of certified designers.

• Graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from CIDA accredited Wentworth Institute of Technology
